Fill-the-Boot is a 58-year tradition that began as the brainchild of two Boston firefighters in 1954. Butch Snyder and Jim Gigsby, along with fellow Boston firefighters, wanted to help "Jerry's Kids," so they grabbed their boots and headed out into the community with the hope that people would fill those boots with donations. Little did they know that they would be initiating a long-time partnership between the firefighter community and MDA. Since that humble beginning, firefighters' boots across the country have overflowed with donations, totaling more than $400 million!

This year's Fill The Boot will be Saturday, August 25th from 9-5pm. We  need at least 15 people to help in the morning and 15 in the afternoon. Kelly Williamson will be coordinating the event for Kennewick.
